Need simple way to mark jeans

I have several jeans in a couple of different sizes and lengths. What I wear depends on heel height as well as how much weight I'm carrying at the moment. That means opening each pair of jeans from the stack to check the size tag. Does anyone have a simple way of marking jeans on a folded pair so I don't have to go through this major search all the time?
