I don't own any Barefoot Dreams items at all. I'm thinking of getting this QVC2 Special cardigan. But, I see the sizing says it is BD sizing and not QVC's. I've read the sizing chart for the item but because it is an open-front cardigan that doesn't close, it's hard to tell from the chest measurements what is what, and I usually go by the chest measurements. Of course, with a cardigan, better to err on the too large than too small side.
For those of you who own BD cardigans, esp. any open front ones, should I get my usual QVC size medium in it? Again, I can't tell as much from the measurement chart when it's an open-front cardigan so I need help from those with experience with this brand.

Don't use the click here measurements. In the bottom of the description, click the +Sizing open. The chart on the top row shows the body measurements that correspond to each size.

i almost always go up a size from my regular qvc sizing.
i need the larger size for the arms and the hip area in particular.
i rather it be slightly big than slightly small.

@Caffeina Thanks for the tip - I'm going to see if I find that.
Thanks to the others who are responding. ![]()
ETA: Oh, I found that sizing chart and that was really helpful. Says I need a large, not a medium. @sunshine45 I agree with your philosophy on cardis, as I wrote in my first post. ![]()

I own a lot of BFD items and I always go by the click here measurements. Most reviews when they go by the BFD size chart they end up with a size to large. The click here measurements have everything you need. The muscle circumference is a big factor for me becasue some of the sleeves on some of the items are on the tighter side. You can't go wrong with the click here measurements.

Thanks @Lucylu12 and I almost always use Click measurements. But as I've been saying, it's difficult with the open front garments to sort out how the chest measurement on the chart applies.

One click here measurement that might be helpful is the measurement labeled “back chest 1” below armhole - seam to seam”. I double that to get an idea of what the chest measurement might be.

Pearley ... The latest QVC2 Big Deal is 100% Polyester. Most say their favorite material is the Cozy Chic Lite or Ultra LIte. The 100% poly sometimes "mats" after wearing & washings.
You asked about sizing, the BD chart is usually correct, especially if wearing layers under a cardi due to the upper arms. For the ultra-lite, I had to order my regular Q size (I assume since the material was thin). @Pearlee

@Pearlee I watch the videos and if the arms look tight on the models, I size up. If they are relaxed, I get my usual size.
For that particular cardigan, I would get your normal size.
