Yes.    I didn't believe it and went with a 12 and they are stretchy so they are big.

@KACEE1115,

According to NYDJ they are NOT a QVC fit, so order down a size!

In my experience with this line the size down mentallity has NOT worked at all.

I think it's one of those hit or miss lines, good luck but it can be an expense just to try on their jeans.  You may be one of the lucky ones that gets a good fit.  So many sizing issues these days.......

I agree about the sizing down on NYDJ.  If you have any weight around your middle, sizing down will squish you when you sit.  These are definitely a 'standing jeans only' brand.  Uncomfortably tight.

Found NYDJ  jeans the same challenge as trying on in  brick/mortar stores  . NYDJ have different styles and lengths. I tried several different pairs in sizes and style  . Eventually I did find 2 pairs in 2 different styles that fit me well . It just costs to much to  send back & forth with shipping costs  and the proverbial  out of stock in my size for an exchange  .

Sizing down did NOT work for me.  As a previous poster said...if you carry your weight in your tummy like I do it may not be a comfy fit sizing down.

I order my REG QVC size for NYDJ, and it has worked for me.

However, they SAY to size down....

I have found w/ all of these lines that say go down a size that it depends on the style of the pant and your own body shape. For example, tried 4 different NYDJ and two of them fit going down a size and two of them were so tight they were like poor fitting leggings (which is not a look I like). Same w/ Belle's jeans, totally hit or miss on good sizing and fit.

For reference, I have a slim build, but do have a round tush. The pants that were tight were tight EVERYWHERE. Yes, I could get them on and even get buttoned and zipped. But I have a phrase w/ pants --- just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Good luck. IMO, jeans and bathing suits are the worst to try on and find good fits.

I just do not understand why this company could not adjust the sizing to fit the size? Why should I  have to GUESS what to buy  because the specs are off???   I know it is a MARKETING PLOY that wants you to ENJOY buying a smaller size... but I think it is laughable and SO STUPID to think we are so dumb to fall for that.....

It is a put down to us as consumers and as women.  I will never pay for these OVERPRICED and poorly sized nothing special jeans.

I order my regular size. I’m tall and will take some extra length wherever I can get it though.
