Added a bright green tassel to it. Someone asked what the green tassel was for?

You may have relatives in both Dublin AND Belfast ????     (I have known people WHO DO.)

@Desertdi I may have had. My Irish relatives( Protestant) have been in this country for many, many years, 2 of my ancestors fought in the Civil War,one was killed and his name is on the monument in the town square.

On the other side, my maternal grandfather was one of the founders of the Protestant church in which I was raised.

@Group 5 minus 1 I'm originally from New York State and live in NC now.  One of the Civil war groups from my home town posts civil war obituaries for nearby counties. It is fascinating/sad  to read about soldiers.  I also hear stories about the war here in the south.

Makes me think about my grandfather who probably knew veterans and heard remembrances first hand.

The orange is for the Protestants, the green for the Catholics. It is the colors of the flag of Ireland.
