@Kachina624    Linen is a very airy fabric and worn in hot climates because of its airiness and cool breathability

It is hard to adjust our habits when we move.  Not sure we ever get the new place right.

QVC is very geared to a more southern client.

@Still Raining   That's odd since Q is in PA. Lol

AND they claim everything can be worn in the Hamptons!!  Double LOL!!

@fairydogmother    Living in the land of cowboys, horses, Indians and hot air balloons, I completely understand.  However, I've been so close to these things for so long, I think they're now the "authentic me".  I'd feel silly (and hot) in a linen blazer.

If it's the true you and you're happy, that's perfect!

@fairydogmother Happy early birthday.  I enjoyed your story.  It is interesting to read how your style continues to evolve.  There are so many women stuck in a rut.  I am in my late fifties, and I generally like practical things I can wear anywhere, so classics with splashes of trends.  I hope I can continue to evolve and not get stuck, and you are definitely inspiring!

Aww thanks 💗

@Teddixat    Sorry but when it's over 100°, I wear nothing but bare arms.  Well, I do wear clothes too.

@millieshops  I would venture to say the women I see in the loud tropical prints are the tourists. 😉

I did in high school. Windowpane tights, mini skirts, chain belts. 😊

Re: My evolving fashion “story”

@decaf  You made me laugh with your comments about going off the deep end when you move to Florida. Haha. Yep that was me. I couldn't ditch that Michigan wardrobe fast enough! As for home decor- uh oh. I took a quick left turn into "coastal". Light, seaside colors are so very appealing to me compared to the darker, earthier tones in our Michigan home. I'm constantly checking myself though, as it would be easy to overdo the theme. Plus we live inland, not on the coast. You only need so many sea turtle items. Lol

@Teddixat Perfect for hot/humid climates.  Last week I  found a navy JJill unstructured linen blazer on deep clearance, about $8 in TJmaxx.  I'm in S Fl , I scooped that right up.
