Mother of the Groom - What do I wear?

I am wondering what I should wear, I am the mother of the groom and the bridal party is wearing black and white. The wedding is in May. Can I wear a white jacket with a black skirt or should I wear a color other than black or white? It is going to be an evening wedding, can I wear Linea? Any suggestions?
