There are a bunch of folks who immediately come to mind who should have been put out to pasture several years ago.

Could you name maybe even one, @ALRATIBA.? Because I'm sensing yours is a political comment.

Re: Models of Different Ages

Age is immaterial to me.  I'd rather see women of different sizes, not the sticks they usually use.  Kudos to QVC for doing this.

They obviously have elderly print models.  But runway models are usually in the 17 year old up to their 30's.  They have to be very fit in addition to being very, very thin. And put their bare feet in to 4" heels. Think of Katia (QVC's only runway model) and how extraordinarily thin she is. An elderly model could not be that thin and fit.

Why can't an older woman be slender and fit? Certainly more fit/Healy than an elderly 1X.

Not "Slender" but thin, thin, thin!  And with muscles.  And not older, but Elderly.  As in their 70's, 80's,90's.  You're already starting to "shut down" by the time you enter your 70's.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!

You are hysterical, @songbird

[ Edited ]

I don't really care that much about runway models. I might look at a few shows or photos, but I'm more focused on the clothes instead of the models. I think it's good that the designers are employing more models of various sizes, ages, ethnicities, etc.

What bothers me more is using young models to demonstrate skin care and beauty products for more mature women. That bugs me and makes no sense.

@suzyQ3

That's odd that you should assume it's political ... that would never occur to me.

Who do you have in mind?
