Do the fashion designers on QVC have the opportunity to choose which models show their clothing line?

It does seem so. I know I see Kate a lot in Bob Mackie and recently Logo shows.

I would say YES.  Bob M and Louis only want (almost) 6 ft models - and the most 'striking' women.  They show the clothes best.

From what I've seen/heard/read ... that seems to be standard practice in the industry.

Designer chooses the models he/she wants to show the clothes.

I think so too, because Katia always models for Susan Graver, along with Brenda...I see Deanna quite a bit model clothing as well....Kate, I see a lot as well.

I do think they do get to choose the models. Most of them lean towards Katia, she looks great in everything and then there is usually a plus side model.  I would like to see more petite models since I am only 5"2'. Most of the time I am happy with my purchases. I have learned over the years. Much fewer returns.

@Engrsue

I would say a definite 'yes'. Especially after watching Lori Goldstein have a small hissy fit over Sue, a more mature model than I guess ol' Lori prefers, being in 1 show.

I don't recall verbatim as it was some time ago but basically she walked up to her and something along the lines of 'And Sue here is in...Why ARE you here??'

I do remember very clearly feeling quite mortified for the poor model! But she kept her composure and didn't respond at all...

Have not seen her do a Logo show since....

If lori G. said that to Sue I am horrified. I hope that is not what she meant.

@Andreatoo

I think Lori needs a filter. I remember several years ago Lori talking about the pretty models then walked over to Jacqui and started to say "Jacqui isn't really pret"--stopping in her tracks. That was an awkward moment or three!

@Squirrel Lover

She definitely said it but I like to imagine she apologized afterwards knowing her anger was misdirected....one can hope right?
