I've seen giant clips on the back of garments sometimes.

I know the models are very thin and are usually swimming in the clothes, but it is deceitful to portray something that it's obviously not.

Me. too. Once I saw Sandra selling a denim & company blazer and when the camera panned around you saw a giant clip in the back making it seem fitted.

Altering a garment, whether it be with pins or clips, to make it fit the wearer is different from altering to make same said garment fit differently...

What they need to do is have 2X and 3X size models then, and stop being afraid sales will go down or fear nasty comments from shoppers if they have bigger women on.

I was looking at that Logo dress on lunchtime specials and thought, actually that's pretty cute (even though I don't like a lot of her styles).

Then I noticed that the pictures on the website showed the dress with a very defined waist and thought well that would be a welcome and unusual thing as most all QVC tops and dresses seem pretty shapeless. I guess because that style fits most all.

Anyway, I took a closer look. You can see the fabric is pulled to the back somehow on the pictures.

Then I looked at the video and when showing the dresses from the hangars they were totally straight up and down-thus some people's reviews saying it looked like a shapeless nightgown.

On the models, Brenda had on a belt and you could see the extra fabric pulled to the sides.

The other model had on a sweater and everytime the camera was on her, she put one hand on her hip, creating another illusion of a waist!

This happens so many times on QVC! And probably one reason for many returns.

If the dress is straight up and down, don't make it seem like it has an hour-glass shape! That is just not a fair presentation of what it is.

I shouldn't have to inspect everything like I said above but the way things are altered to appear better, makes me not trust any of the presentations.

QVC, especially when selling on tv, and website, you owe it to your customers to honestly portray how the "fashions" appear without alterations!

I don't think you should ever expect a fitted garment from Logo.   Just curious ..... was the garment described as Fitted, Semi-fitted, or Relaxed?

@Tinkrbl44-You're probably right.

It just looked very hourglass on the website and on the video. I don't remember it being described as anything other than "fabulous", with Lori describing how comfortable the fabric, the gorgeous colors etc.Come to think of it, I don't remember any of hers being described as fitted, semi-fitted etc.

The first and only thing I ever bought from her Logo was a sleeveless tunic that was very fitted/tight on top and a slightly shark bite on the bottom. I think most of her things are very tight on top but not the waist or bottom. I liked the  unusual color but not the too fitted on top and not the slinky fabric either.

As far as I know, all QVC clothing has that on the garment page (website) for handy reference.

@Tinkrbl44-

Oh ,yes you are right. I thought you meant did they talk about it.

It was A275768, but it was a lunchtime special yesterday. Today it is "clearance price"

It does say semi-fitted (which to me is vague) but when you watch the video it really is very baggy on the hangar.

The picture makes it look so pretty and going in at the waist.

Re: Misrepresentation of clothing on air

I think some Vendors have clothing made specially to fit them.  There is no way that Lisa Rinna can wear the QVC sizes that are available.  I don't have a problem with this if it is disclosed...but it never is.

Re: Misrepresentation of clothing on air

I agree!

 Another thing that I don't like is when they are showing a top for sale but the model is wearing a cardigan over it.  Well that's nice to see how it will look under something and I don't have a problem with it because I might like the total look too but for goodness sakes at some point the model should take the jacket off and turn around so we can see how it fits!...I like to see how things fit from the back too!!

[ Edited ]

I abhor misrepresentations too, but --- and call me stupid --- why would I expect a dress to look the same on any model as it would on me? My point -- can't you just go by the garment measurements and understand how it would fit, that is appear, on your body?

As far as armholes, don't the models always stand with their hands on their hips so that you can see how the armholes fit. But again, why would anyone expect the armholes on a model to fit the same as it would on them?
