"Miranda says, 'A dress that fully covers you creates a sense of purity and mystery.'"
I think that's a funny statement considering she's modeled for Victoria's Secret and already has a child with Orlando Bloom. "Purity" and "mystery" aren't exactly words I'd use to describe her, but if she wants to believe a dress will give her and everyone else that sense, well, okay...it was her day after all. Guess it remains to be seen if she's going to stick with a more "pulled back" style.
I like the detail on the dress, but that's about it. Probably was much better in person.

The wedding dress looks too stiff and formal. Isn't this her second go round on the marriage circuit too? This may be a Christian Dior gown but it's definitely a miss. I don't see any inspiration from Grace Kelly's wedding dress in this gown at all. You can see more photos on the U.K. Daily Mail.

She looks ethereal.

Except for the fact that Grace Kelly's dress had long sleeves and a full skirt I see absolutely no similarity between the two, dresses. GRace Kelly's dress was lace with a high collar, buttons down the bodice and a cummerbund. PLease how are they similar?

Yes, that dress is gorgeous but the material looks soooo thick and heavy! What is she trying to cover up so? She's so thin and pretty and her dress is just way too heavy looking for my taste.

@ECBG What did you think of Nicky Hilton's dress?

This one? To me, it looks more "brideal".
Do you like it?

Miranda's Kerr gown would be beautiful for a winter wedding. It looks heavy for May.
I thought Nicky Hilton's gown was stunning. With the exception of a fitted empire waist and ivory in color, my wedding gown and veil was similar. (in 1971)
I prefer styles other than strapless. I've seen too many brides and bridemaids struggle with strapless gowns when they were dancing at the reception.

@ECBG Yes I do, after Nicky got married and I saw the photo I thought it was classic and beautiful. I was wondering what you thought of all that lace with the high neckline and big skirt. I do see the point about balance and too much heavy fabric. The top of Miranda's can create the look of almost straightjacketing. Of course she's gorgeous and can wear whatever she wants on her wedding day.
I was looking at the current issue of Brides magazine at the library, because I just love looking at the dresses. Saw an Oleg Cassini ad for a dress with long sleeves-it's a netting with a pieced lace overlay (I think). High neckline. Full skirt with appliques. Long traditional lace trimmed veil. First wedding dress I've ever seen that I thought for sure that would be mine if I had ever gotten married. Just gorgeous.

@Greeneyedlady21,@lulu2, Personally, I prefer something less covered up.
Kate Moss, famous model, wedding gown.
This is how I personally would have done my wedding, (less sparkles), if I had the time then.
I would have changed the cap of the head piece.
