Men's Ties?

Anybody have any ideas for wearing/using beautiful men's ties? I recently came into possession of a couple of very colorful, distinctive, funky silk ties that are too bold for DH's taste, but I'm wondering if I might find a way to wear and enjoy them that doesn't look goofy. Besides wearing them knotted at the neck as a man would, or tying them around the waist as a sash belt, anybody have any ideas for wearing a beautiful men's tie?
