The Duke and Duchess have arrived in Rotorua, New Zealand for the final day of their mammoth first royal tour as a married couple.

Harry and Meghan will spend the last day of the 16-day regional tour in the central North Island town taking in the local culture and nature.

The sound of a conch shell signalled the start of the welcome ceremony at Te Papaiouru for the royal couple before a powerful haka on the shores of Lake Rotorua.

In sparkling weather, the best of the New Zealand leg of the tour, both were adorned in traditional korowai or woven cloaks.

The royal couple were gifted the traditional korowai woven coats for their visit to Te Papaiouru Marae

Meghan watched on as a number of speeches were read out, welcoming the couple to Rotorua .

Re: Meghan's Final Day on Tour

It was such an enjoyable diversion from bad news to follow them on this trip. I love how they immerse themselves in the culture.

Sad to see it end, I'm sure they will enjoy going home and resting.

Meghan's "Korowai" was specifically designed to "envelop [Meghan] in strength, warmth and aroha [love]" and to protect her in her pregnancy.

Thank you @lmt @Greeneyedlady21 and others for taking the time to narrate the Duke and Duchess trip and post photos. It takes a tech savvy person to navigate through the many websites for pictures.

It will be delightful to now follow them into parenthood.

I bet they are tired of touring.  I hope they are both able to rest when they return to Great Britain.  Meghan always looks so pretty.

Meghan is a real trooper....she has to be exhausted with the fast pace of this trip and a first trimester pregnancy, when all you usually want to do is take naps. She looks lovely in each photo, and I will say it....she is glowing! Harry must be so proud to have his wife with him to show her support. I am sure as soon as their plane takes off...she will be fast asleep. She seems truly happy in her new role. God bless'em!
