When some shape wear vendors are on they measure Jackie the model's waist. Once it was 42 and recently she measured in at 44 waist. Then they have her measured with the shape wear and it goes down 2 inches. That's fine but she usually models clothes in a large. I say no way. Checked the sizing on most tops in a large and the waist measurements are 35-37. Any thoughts on this?

Yes. I think they're rarely accurate or truthful about sizing. I also think they dress the models in clothing that is too tight. I saw jackets pulling at the bust line and wrinkling under the arms. Also the tsv pants that looked awful in the crotch area when they did close ups this morning. How silly it is to try to deceive their customers.

Which tops? I just checked a couple - the waist measurements were anywhere from 44 to 51 inches.

Maybe you are thinking of bottoms ... for pants you have to look at the extended waist measurement.

ETA: Most of the time, the larger size models are wearing sizes that are too small for them.

I am not thinking of bottoms. Mizrahi and Quaker factory show large waist measurements at 35-37. T shirts and tops. Click on size chart and see under size large.

You are so right. A jacket on the other day looked tight on everyone.

I have witnessed this measuring and wondered about it myself. The only thing I can think is that I buy tops according to my bust size. Jackie does not look particularly big busted. So she very well could fit in a size large with a waist bigger than what is recommended by the size chart. There tends to be plenty of room around the waist in tops.

I, too, have wondered about that. I always assume the models tell us the truth when they are asked what size they are wearing. Have you noticed that when Jaque is wearing an item that is cut close to the body that she is never asked what size she is wearing? I always think she probably sized up.
