Can someone please tell me what HPS means in the measurement charts?

Oh my gosh. I have also wondered what HPS and some of the other acronyms mean. So I googled HPS and came up with the following. HPS stands for High Point Shoulder. That being said, I'm not sure I can explain how to measure but I found the following
"How to Measure Guidelines" from Nordstrom which explains measuring and also shows diagrams.

I don't know if QVC (United States) has this but I also found a "How to Measure" Guide for Apparel Vendors at the QVC UK website: http://www.qvcuk.com/UK/images/vr_pdfs/QVC_Measure_Guide_2010.pdf?cookie=set
