I ordered this item. A303412

I think it is a fair price, IF I don't decide to have it hemmed. I am 5.5.

I think it is well made, it fits pretty good and looks  ok on me.  I would always wear with a jacket, or something to cover my arms unless it is super hot out...not a fan of the arms.

The issuse is the length....not sure I am wild about how long it is...I had not ordered a dress in a while and was not sure about length.

I don't go with trends so that is not the issue, just wondeing if you ladies like a maxi dress, does it make you feel a tad....dumpy....

It's a pretty dress, what color did you get? I like that it is simple, yet it could go just about anywhere. Are you planning to wear it with heels or sandals? I don't think it is "dumpy". I don't wear maxi's, but that's just me.

I have said this before and I'll say it again: no one looks good in a maxi. I know, I know you get a lot of compliments but what do people say when you walk away? Look at people as you are out shopping or what ever how do they look?

Do not like maxi dresses at all although I do have one that I bought in Hawaii years ago and wore to a luau.  Otherwise, I like mid calf or knee length when I wear dresses.  BTW, I'm the same height as you although I usually say 5'6"!!!!

I only wear maxis when it gets too hot & sticky here in Fl. to wear anything else.I like them to come just to my ankle. Since I only wear them when it's painfully hot out - a 100% polyester dress would never appeal to me. I buy only 100% cotton maxi dresses.

Huh?  That is a broad statement and there is not a bit of truth to it.

Just because you don’t like them and talk behind people’s back when they wear them doesn’t mean everyone else does.

i have a friend who always wear them.  She was in a very bad car accident and broke both of her legs.  She has many scars and they are noticeable. She mostly wears pants, but when the occasion calls for a dress, she wears a maxi.

Not many people have seen her legs.  If I heard anyone saying anything about the way she looks in a maxi, they would get a piece of my mind.

@Snicks1...I got the black...I do like it.  I might pin it up and see how it looks before I decide.  The fabric is a nice weight.   I did have a Linea tank dress years ago, it was a knit, sadly it did not hold up to well...lost its color and looked worn.

Summer for me is Memorial day - Labor Day, it did not get a lot of wear..the SG dress I will not lose color and will wash well.

I like maxis or tea length sundresses for spring summer. I’m 5’7” so length is usually not a problem for me. Consider the alteration cost too when deciding whether or not to buy. I love SG dresses and other clothing pieces. Good luck.

It depends on the type of maxi dress.  Some are form fitting & some flare out like A303412.  If you are over weight, you have no business wearing a form fitting maxi. There is nothing worse than seeing an overweight female in a form fitting maxi w/stomach & belly button imprints as well as horizonal strips.

I noticed when the Q models have on maxi' dresses, they are most times in heels.  I live in a county surrounded by "shore"  & casino communities.  I have never seen anyone wear heels w/maxi dresses.  It's usually flip flops, sandals or flats.

I love maxi dresses and wear them often in the summer.   Most of mine are cotton or a cotton blend and are quite comfortable in the summer heat.   I go to the carribean once a year and everyone wears them down there.   Adorable with sandals or you can wear a dressier shoe.  I have many so I always bring a bunch with me.   I think if you don't look good in a maxi you're either way too petite or you're wearing the wrong style in one.  FYI  I am 5'4".
