Sorry but I love the longer flowy tops.  Many of us have put on weight and we don't want to show all our fluff and need something to cover and hide that area.  Everyone knows we are not pregnant at our age.  Its just the fashion now.  When I put on older styles that are shorter, they don't seem right for me now.  If you have a slim figure and like to wear shorter more tailored tops, go for it.

For myself when I wear a straight leg pant that fits more snug I like a longer top to cover by back side.  But it has to be a more fitted long top or sweater.  That kind of top is hard to find. Woman Wink

I can't even recall the last time I saw a pregnant woman wearing a "maternity style top."  It must be at least 25 years - as long as I've lived here.

I like loose flowy tops.  I have wide shoulders and a very straight shape .. no curves.  Loose tops hang perfectly on me - and an illusion is created when walking in something loose and flowy that there may be curves under all that fabric.

My late husband's uncle used to call them my "follow-me clothes."  I get more positive reactions when I'm wearing  loose and flowy.

@ALRATIBA  Hmmm. “Follow me clothes”. I can understand that.

@ALRATIBA Pregnant women today rarely wear maternity tops....tight clothing to show the “baby bump”. Wow. Things change with time, right?

@Imaoldhippie, after reading so many of these complaints, I start to wonder just what is acceptable to some. Many seem to have such a long laundry list of "don'ts."

Yeah ... they certainly do.  Just when you think you've seen and heard everything .... Wow!

When I browse the forum, I read what I interests me, may I suggest you do the same?

Have a nice day.

FYI, I agree, I too, do not care for tight clothing on my less than perfect body. However, I am not tall, and maternity style tops that tend to be tunic length look horrible on me.  My sister loves those tops with ruffles on the bottom and I kid her and tell her she has a cute tuutuu on.  We both laugh, she gets me as well, love my sister.
