@jackthebear If you take the time to read the responses, you will find the story. It's actually quite sweet.

She looks lovely and this would be appropriate in another setting.  But for getting a vaccine?   No.

I volunteer in vaccine clinics and all of our recipients have shown up in comfortable, practical clothing.

That doesn't mean they weren't appreciative or celebrating the fact that they got vaccinated.

So now there is a dress code for getting a vaccine injection? SMH

This  just looks silly, in my opinion. Don't care if anyone else agrees.

@september Slightly off topic but just wanted to thank you for volunteering so we can get the vaccine. You have always walked the walk and just know how much I appreciate both your posts and your service during this pandemic.Heart

Re: Maryland Woman Wore Her Reception Dress For Vaccine

@Trinity11   Thanks so much for the unexpected compliment.   Today was vaccine #2 for a local school district.

Everyone was happy to get to this stage.  No one wore a "costume".  No one wore ratty clothing!    Just regular working folks, taking that next step that needs to be taken to get us all back to a better stage of our lives.

I thoroughly enjoyed the photo and the story behind it. Good for her!!

@Love my grandkids   Please see my response to you in the tv forum, where you criticized a woman for her facial expressions and hair style.

In my first post on this thread, I actually complimented the young lady's appearance .  My comment was only related to the fact that I thought she had dressed in a  strange manner for a vaccine appointment.

I think the dress is pretty. Based on some comments you would think she was escorted by her father  carring a bouquet of flowers in a formal wedding gown with long train and veil. In reality she is wearing a short sleeve knee-length dress. It is okay it wear something other than jeans and pajamas.

Why should anyone be critical of wearing a lovely dress just because others wore their comfy clothes? How does one diminish the other?

She did what made her feel her best. A good example of "you do you boo."

I envy her because I don't get my first shot until Monday.

Now...what to wear. Smiley Happy

Me too, on Monday getting the Pfizer one. Afraid they will make you take them in the future and may not pay for them like they are now.

wasn't hard going online and making appt.

Just get it over with.

That was kind of risky - what if a drop of blood got on the dress.  Maybe she didn't care, it's the kind of dress that's worn only once.
