I briefly saw her in white capris and black suede platforms.  Let's just say that she should not wear the platforms again -- too high for her and looked like she was tipping over.  Cat Wink

I didn't care for the dress or shoes and they didn't go together at all.

The dress was too short in the front (the back was fine) ... I think if the woman wearing it has a bigger bust it causes the front of the dress to rise up & look unbalanced in the front .... in my opinion it was not a good look on Martha🙃

@January121.  That's why it's best to hem a dress or skirt by having someone with a yardstick and a supply of straight pins, measure the skirt from the floor as the wearer slowly turns.  That used to be routine in mom's household.  I've even had dh do it....under duress.

I thought Martha looked bad too.  The dress was too big and the color of the dress washed her out.

Her legs were pasty white.

I know the trend is to go bare legged, but Martha would have benefitted from some panty hose.

Seeing Martha in that dress makes you realize how important fit is. in my opinion it was  very unflattering on her. Too short and too tight across the bust. I would have put her in leggings underneath and a lower heeled sandal. Her hair and makeup always look great.

A lot of women are apparently really put off, if not offended, by the sight of an older woman; especially a woman of any age wearing a garment "not flattering to her body," which I have come to assume means not skin tight.

I don't get it.  Regular clothing seems to really put some noses out of joint.

Since I was one who did not find it flattering, I'll respond.  I was not "put off or offended" by the sight of her in her dress.  It did not look good on her.  I thought it was too big and too short and I felt it was not a good look.  I do not like "skin tight" clothing so that has nothing to do with my comment.  I don't get your comment about regular clothing seems to put some noses out of joint.

@Equuleus  I said it puts some women's noses out of joint because I get really tired of the crowd who denegrate women, especially older ones, who don't follow fashion trends, who wear classic clothes (which they term "dowdy"), and who don't dress like Hollywood flash and fashionistas.

I get tired of hearing put downs of women who dress well but not flashy or with tight clothes and high heels. Which does seem to bother a lot of women who put them down for being "dowdy" or "matronly".  Women who dress like they have a job and a brain are often put down now.

Is there a picture some where or a video to see what everyone is talking about?

I didn’t see her in the dress, but she probably had to do an unexpected outfit change due to a stained top. She was on Jayne Brown’s anniversary show wearing a white tee shirt that had a stain at the hem. Oops!

@PreKteacher Hi. I saw that stain, too. The cameraman got a nice close up of it. BTW, I am also a teacher-3rd grade. Hope you're enjoying your summer!

@Sooner Very well said.  I do have to say it amazes me nobody understood your original post.  Maybe the posters here are children, who knows.
