I haven't forgotten that she went to prison for insider trading (and she was once a stock broker, so she knew full-well that what she was doing was illegal.)

I agree .. I went and looked at it ...as it is her signature look and it was not

I feel the same way. I remember her shows when she first started on TV, especially her Thanksgiving dinner. It was elegant. I have her first book too, the one with her in the dark green velvet dress. That is a great book, BTW. I still make some of the recipes from it.

I'm pretty sure Martha did modeling in college and also modeled for Chanel as a young woman. I agree she always looks pretty casual, but she has some fashion in her background.
