Never watch HSN but whenever I pass by and she is on she always presents the same style, designed for women like her-tall and large around the middle. Big over-sized tops.
They don't even look great on the tall models and on average height models they look huge. I guess customers love it!

I sorta think of her as the boxy designer. Everything has a boxy look to it. However, I bought a pair of pants of hers awhile back and they were very nice. My legs are a little larger than what's considered normal these days since I can rarely buy boots anymore and my legs haven't changed size. I see what they usually term as straight leg pants on the shopping channels and as soon as I see them on the hosts and the models I can thell that they would be leggings on me. But, these pants just brush the leg. They were a wonderful fit, basically my same B&M size, and good quality fabric. My only problem was they aren't available in petite and I had to pay to have them hemmed.
And yesterday I saw the same pants on sale for $29.

In the N.E. there was a shop called Lane Bryant and her clothes were boxy and just like Marla's. It was for tall large women. And like Marla, prices were high.
She's on a lot so she must sell and be well liked.
I've never liked charging more for petite or tall. If you charge more for tall, why not charge less for short or petite.

I'm a tall woman and fit with broad shoulders and a large chest (boob reduction is on my list some day). NONE of her tops flatter me or ANY tall woman I know. I don't get her designs when it comes to her tops. Her pants are nice but here again.....so many are cropped and on me (and others I know) the length is not a good length- kinda like the pants shrunk in the wash and now look awkward. I LOVE the patterns, the ideas the colors but everything being so short.....not going to happen. Shame. ![]()

@ellaphant She presents the only HSN clothing in which I like the fabrics and colors, but there's nothing I could wear. I just don't like so much fabric - even on her. On me, short and all bust and belly, I know better than to try any of it

I saw a little bit of the show and thought that Amy looked really good in her top, and she isn't by any means tall or big! I think a lot depends on the style of top, some do look really big and boxy, while others didn't to me anyways!

I own a few of her pieces, mostly tops and the styles I have are not too boxy at all. I have to say the qaulity is there, hence the price but you can get some good buys when things are on sale at HSN, they are more generous with sale pricing, I find anyway.

I'm short and about a size 14 or 16. I bought a lot of MarlaWynne the first few years when she started on HSN. Loved the styles, fabrics, and quality. Over time, it became more expensive than what my budget will allow, so I don't buy anymore. Still the only clothing line that I like on HSN. I think that because Marla is an artist and probably does the designing, the results are very similar styles.

the fabrics are very nice and I do like the styles, but they are not for me or fit my lifestyle--and I am shaped weird due to a double mastectomy with no reconstruction, so I am shaped more like a man on the top --- nothing fits me at all. Kind of annoying but I deal with it. ![]()
