CINCINNATI - The woman who inspired the movie, "Joy," and sold over 250,000 "Miracle Mops" on the Home Shopping Network this week has struck a deal with Macy's Inc. to launch a new line of home goods.

Joy Mangano is an entrepreneur and inventor whose life story became a box-office hit for 20th Century Fox.

Macy's will launch the Joy brand at its Herald Square store in New York Jan. 9, with a product roster that includes the self-wringing Miracle Mop and Huggable Hangers, a no-slip hanger that conserves closet space and racked up 300 million sales for HSN in 2010.

"The Joy brand embodies everything we look for when considering the best home assortment for our customers,” said Martine Reardon, Macy’s chief marketing officer, in a press release . “Joy’s innovative products have helped make home tasks easier for three decades, making her a true leader in the industry. We are thrilled to embark on this new partnership.”

The product line will start at $29.99 and be available in all Macy's stores and online .

"I couldn't be more thrilled to bring my products to Macy's," Mangano said. "There is something magical about shopping at Macy's and I know customers are going to experience that same magic when they discover my products in their stores nationwide."

Walgreen's also carried similar hangers.  I don't recall what I paid for them ... but not much.  Also, Bed Bath & Beyond,  and Ace Hardware!  You can find that style hanger everywhere these days .. and in different colors.
