Loving the new wedges and lace up styles, but a lot are suede. I assume the ones I purchased will have to be sprayed w/ a protectant before wearing.
Your thoughts?

I'm not a fan of suede or nubuck either.
I haven't purchased any for that reason

I've noticed many suede sandals recently too. I've always thought of suede being used for winter fashions but many of the suede sandals are really cute. I spray all my leather and suede shoes with a protectant no matter what season.

I always associated suede with fall/winter. Have yet to try weraing suede shoes in the summer.

I love suede! It used to be considered a fall/winter fabric but that has not been true for some time now. Suede shoes/purses, etc. are fashionable year round.
If you get shoes/sandals that do not state they have been treated, definitely treat them. It is important.
I just bought a beautiful suede tote bag for work.

I bought four pairs of sandles they have a block heel and all are suede. I use a light mist of suede spray on them with no problems. In the summer it's easier to wear a suede shoe you don't have to worry about wet weather.
Link to one of the shoes.

The suede sandals look softer and more comfy than leather on hot summer days...especially those that lace to the ankle. Suede would be more comfortable against the foot. Yes, I will definitely spray them. Thanks.

I bought these in a sand color. They don't look cute in the pictures but on they are. I might get these they are on sale.

Another easy to wear suede very much like the Sam Edlemen but less expensive and lots of fun colors.

Right out of the box, I use a waterproofing (silicone or other) spray on anything
leather, suede, or nubuck.
One application is good, but a second one after they dry is even better.
Make sure the windows are open or you do it outside.
I haven't yet owned a suede sandal, but the nubuck ones that I've worn aren't
heavy-feeling since it's a natural - and therefore, breathable - fabric.
Give one of your faves a shot. 8)
