I learned to knit and crochet as a child ... I've been doing it so many years it's just second nature.   And, I love doing it!

We've probably had this conversation but my daughter too. She was 7 when we were visiting family and my cousin taught her to knit and crochet. At 33 she still loves it!

@Andreatoo   I was 7, had whopping cough followed by a bad case of measles and my grandmother taught me to crochet and knit while I was out of school.  I was in 3rd grade.  I missed 80 days out of school that year.  I also learned to do tatting but was never very good at it.
