That's dress is lovely. My grandson is getting married in October. The bride has selected Fall colors for the bridesmaids gowns. It is a formal wedding. My daughter and the mother of the bride will be in long dresses. Does anyone know what the  grandmother of the groom wears?  I would prefer to buy something I could maybe wear again.

If I were you, I'd wear the black split pants and an evening top with sheer black hosiery and a black patent ballet shoe.

@ECBG   Thanks. That idea appeals to me.  I haven't been to hardly any weddings in the last few years and don't really know what's appropriate and what's not these days for a formal wedding. I did have one other grandson who was married 4 yrs. ago but they wanted a simple wedding and a picnic at the lake where the brides parents had a year round home. Personally, I think some of these bigger weddings are getting a bit too detailed but what do I know??? Ha!

I know it can be a bit inconvenient at times.  At least the beautiful formal weddings one "traditional" thing we haven't totally lost.

You may be slightly less formal than the two mothers.

I know you will have a wonderful time.

Sending the couple wishes for a wonderful life together.

@ECBG   I have a couple of things (health wise) going on but I am looking forward to it.  I do have some dressy half patent/half smooth leather shoes with a low heel.  Hoping I will be able to dance by then.  Love to dance! Maybe I can find a blouse with some similar colors to the dress to go with black pants. Not exactly my best colors but I find if you change up your makeup you can look pretty good in almost any color. I appreciate your imput.

The shape and style of the dress are very nice. The colors definitely are good for fall, but a bit too much for me in this all over print. I would prefer the print as a skirt so I could wear a solid sweater on top.

I love this entire look.  Makes me yearn for Fall.

I could wear that.  Not partcularly fond of the boots.  They look kinda dated to me.  I would prefer a riding boot.

I love the Fall season and this dress certainly fits as far as the colors go.  It is pretty, simple but fashionable and has an appeal for me.  I do like it.

I don't care for the color scheme for my coloring but I think it would be nice for the ladies who look good in warmer autumnal shades.
