When you open up your seasonal clothes containers and find brand new items you purchased end of season and forgot about.  I have a brand new dress, four shirts and two sets of p.j.s.

Just switched my clothes over this past weekend.  No new clothes, but it is nice wearing something different!

Oh,  good heaven's.  You must have felt like it was Christmas morning.  I usually have a different experience.  In April I buy  a pink tee shirt and a nice pair of navy crop pants and a maxi dress.  And I am so happy with my new spring purchases.  And then around the end of June, I go into that last box of stored  summer clothes and I find......a brand new pink tee, navy crop pants and a maxi dress that I bought during last summer's clearance sales.  This has happened more times than I can count.  You would think I'd learn to delay buying anything until I've gone through all my stored items....but....I haven't learned yet.

That used to happen to me, but I'd say what was I thinking.  I try really hard not to do that anymore.

What a nice surprise for you!

I keep all my clothes in one closet and the dressers in my bedroom so it is impossible to forget I have something.  I don't even change out closets anymore. I used to save new items for special occasions, but now I wear new things asap so I can enjoy my purchases.

@wilma I used to do this, too...but I finally realized that there just weren't that many "special" occasions in my life!
