OP, I agree about no discretion as far an item being a lightweight tank or a winter coat being the same price...it has always stumped me!
I like Susan Graver's clothes. They wash really nicely. I can count on them to look new for a while. I always get compliments when I wear an outfit from her line.
Sizing isn't always easy (not with any online clothing purchases), but I am always happy with her designs. If you figure out cost-per-wear, her items are definitely worth the price point.
I agree with the other posters about lowering the s/h charges. I wouldn't mind paying $45 for a top/pants/jackets if the shipping was 1/2 it is currently.
Notice how the $3 shipping disappeared in a hurry? THAT STINKS QVC! I buy a lot of products from this business, and I think they could do better especially at the holidays!

I now find that in general QVC prices are higher than the same or similar item found elsewhere. They still might have the Quality and Convenience, but the Value is gone for me. BTW, I have shopped with the Q for almost 20 years.

When hundreds of entries point to our unhappiness with certain policies and practices, we have a chance for change, even if it's a remote chance. If we stop complaining, QVC could get an inadvertant message that we don't want to send.
Sadly , for every person who posts that the prices are too high a dozen come back at her saying they aren't too high at all. I don't know where those individuals shop but they are absolutely too high for me for the most part and then the excessive S&H charges pretty much takes me out of the QVC market except for clearance items. And I am not - as some other poster implied "too poor" to spend more , I just refuse to pay more for items than they are worth. I want value for my money and $50 for a 100% polyester top is not value for your money. I can get the same top at Bells for $20, so that is exactly what I do - and there is no S&H.

1. Not all polyester is created equal ... I never heard of Bells ... so I can't compare.
2. I can get a similar poly top at Chico's for twice as much.

We all want things we can't afford but we don't go around complaining that the stores are ",too expensive". There really are no expensive clothes on Qvc but there people who don't seem to understand that if they have money problems and can't afford things they want.....that doesn't mean the clothes are too expensive. It means they have to find cheaper places to shop. I know one thing, if couldnt afford Qvc, I wouldn't watch and I wouldn't visit .com. Why make myself feel bad? There are budget friendly retailers out there.
Why are you so snarky? I think you should try to be nice to others.

A perfect example of what I said in my first sentence.

I have been in Beals and would never buy there nor any of the discount stores.,I would rather pay for a good quality shirt or pants that last forever than something that barely lasts a season. Hence j jill, chicos, soft surroundings and Dillard's.
I buy most of my clothing at mid priced stores and they last for years and years. I think some folks are having the wool pulled over their eyes thinking that just because you go to a high end store and pay a lot that they get a better product. Not necessarily so.I have a cousin who works in a clothing manufacturing company and she said they put various labels on the exact same items all the time. So some go to the high end store and some go to walmart and they are all exactly the same except maybe the buttons or something may be better.

Why so expensive?? Simple. Because people will pay those prices. If people weren't willing to pay those prices, her lines wouldn't sell and she'd have to either reduce prices or stop her business.
You have the choice of what you want to buy and how much you want to pay for any item. Exercise your choice and vote with your feet is you want to.

Unfortunately, people here DO happily pay those high prices and don't seem to know any better. It isn't QVC's fault - it is the consumers who will buy at , apparently, any price.
