Re: Lose the 5 inch heels, Jenn

All you have to do is google "feet damaged by high heels."

No thanks, not for me.

And by the same token all you have to do is Google feet damaged by flat heels.

There is no one answer for everyone. The type of shoes one wears is as different as the occasion warrants, the shape of each foot, the weight of the individual, the body type of the wearer and where their weight is distributed, their physical ability, their fashion likes and dislikes, and on and on.

When I worked as an Accountant I always wore heels. But as the years went by and when I was running after my three sons, I loved my sneakers. And when I returned to work the heels were much smaller!

I don't know why women do that to themselves.  They are NOT comfortable. Plus, they are SO BAD for your feet and your back.  I don't care if they are sexy or make me look thinner.  My feet and back and posture are way more important than anything else.

Some of mine hurt my feet if I have to stand or walk in them a lot, some not so much.  I factor that into when I wear what show.  But, why do I do it to myself?  Because I like them and the way they look.  It pleases ME.

@Icegoddess Fine to please yourself.  I please myself by not having my feet in uncomfortable shoes, that push my feet into a weird alignment and puts my back out of position.

@Puppy Lips my feet are fine and my back is fine.  I can still jog a mile at the gym, and I include back strengthening exercises in my routine.  I don't wear heels all day every day and some of my heels are quite comfortable.

The higher the heel, the more attraction from men in my experience. Cat LOL  And, hey, they can make you feel sexier if you have the interest in doing so.

Alas, I can only do an occasional wedge now... Woman LOL

Re: Lose the 5 inch heels, Jenn

I have a few pairs of 3 inch heels. That's as high as I go these days. I also have a few pairs of 3 inch wedges. Mine are all comfortable. I don't wear any shoes that hurt. Love a high heel with some of my outfits. They make my legs look really good.
