Being petite, long sleeves are aways too long for me so I don't miss long sleeves at all.  I prefer 3/4 for length and also to show bracelets which I love to wear.  I did recently get a long sleeve dress at Nordstroms to wear to granddaughter's wedding and will probably never wear it again.

@TerBoop    They probably expect that you'll want to wear pajamas.  They'd have us all wearing them everywhere.

Good one!!!!!😁

I don't see people wearing Maxi skirts in the Winter in NYC.  I didn't even know that existed for the Fall/Winter.  Women usually don't wear longer clothing under their shorter coats.  So, if one would wear a maxi skirt, they'd wear a maxi coat or a fur coat.

Longer dressy dresses yes, but not skirts.

Re: Long Sleeve Dresses

[ Edited ]

That all went out the window when they got rid of the best designers like George Simonton and Louis Del'Olio. Dennis Basso used to make winter dresses back in the day. Now it's all loungewear, pajamas, cabin socks, and ugly Sherpa cardigans.

What happened to nice long sleeve dresses for the Winter?  Doesn't anyone want to dress up for the Holidays or New Year's Eve?  I also haven"t seen any nice Maxi Skirts for the Winter.

I don't wear dresses often but I have several WWC knit maxi dresses that I wear with tall black boots. I have them in black, navy and the newest is an animal print. I dress them up with my choice of jewelry and my hair styles. They are 3/4 sleeves. I'm sure there are long sleeve dresses out there in brick&mortar stores and on-line. Qvc can't carry everything that everyone wants. I took a quick look at qvc.com and I did see long sleeve dresses. Try searching.

@TerBoop I don't know where you are looking, or what you are looking for, so it is hard to answer your question.

I have been a dress lover all my life, and QVC has never been great with dresses, in fact, I think they offer more now than they used to.  Unfortunately I don't wear them as much as I used to because my body has changed with age, and my waist, which I used to showcase, is not what it used to.  But it is what it is.

I just took a quick look in the QVC website and saw that you can't browse QVC dresses by sleeve length, which surprised me, because it can be done with tops, but just browsing dresses I saw many long sleeved.

Susan Graver and Isaac Mizrahi have a good selection of long sleeve dresses.  Side Stitch and Attitudes by Renee also have dresses.

Example of Susan Graver dress I liked:

Jason Wu, Candace Cameron Bure, and Girl With Curves have what I consider better dresses.

I just recently brought the Jason Wu Draped Shirt Dress, which is nice, but is probably a miss for me and going back because it adds bulk at the waist. This is an issue for me with many QVC dresses, particularly Jason Wu, too much bulk/material.  Pretty dress though:

Looking for you I found this Candace Cameron Bure dress that I may try for me.  The neckline may be too low on me, but the dress does not look bulky!  But is it flattering??? 🤔🤔🤔

If 3/4 sleeves is good enough for you and you are looking for business/cocktail/casual dress, there are 2 dresses that I bought a while back and can definitely recommend if they have your size.  They are on sale/clearance now:

A399241 Truth + Style Regular Printed or Solid Knit Bubble Hem Dress

It is super flattering and at a super low price.  I bought the black and several prints.  Highly recommend.

A469996 Modern Soul Nourish Knit 1/4 Zip Dress

I got the above in navy and it is very flattering.  Love!

Happy shopping!

@TerBoop I believe Joan Rivers has some pretty holiday maxi skirts.  Also, check ShopHQ, they have maxi dresses.

I k now I sure do not want to wear a dress with any kind of sleeves for the holidays or any time for that matter.  No where I go to want to wear one.     I want casual comfortable clothes.
