Of course back then that is where most women bought cosmetics! Remember those drugstore make-up counters? A nice lady would come when you wanted to see something and help you!
Thanks so much for posting this, shoekitty! My Mom was one of those nice ladies behind the drugstore counter - she worked at one of these types of drugstores for over 45 years! Mom was very well liked by all her customers, and she would bring my sister and I samples of cosmetics, sometimes even displays. It was Mom who gave me my love of all types of makeup! This photo is a great blast from the past!

That round bottle of perfume on right side of counter looks so familiar! Does anyone know what it is? Coty? Intimate? Shalimar?
And this photo is also a great blast from the past too! Regarding that round bottle, it looks like it might be Evening in Paris perhaps?

In the mid 60's I used to draw the bottom lashes on with liquid eyeliner. I also bought bottom false lashes

1964 -66 Prom Dress
Below is most like what I wore in 1964, I had a brocade but the style was similar
Then there was the 1970's prom dress!
The dresses below look like Gunny Saks by Jessica McClintock!
