Logo Jeans Advance Order Question - rejected by QVC Moderators

Last week I watched the Monday night Logo presentation and ordered the Logo straight leg jeans.  I watchd the entire presentation and never heard them say they were Advance Order.  When I checked my Order Status yesterday it said Advance Order.  I went to the questions section of that item, A691791, and said it was not presented as Advance Order and I asked when I should get the jeans and I thanked them.  Today I got an email from QVC Moderators basically saying my question was not appropriate and did not meet website guidlines.  And no, they did not tell me when I should expect to receive my advance order.   Talk about censorship.  I'm tempted to cancel the order for the principle of it.

@Tomboy.  There is a bunch of clothing on advance order.  They sent an email earlier apologizing but saying it was due to some technological upgrades they were doing in the Ontario, CA. warehouse.  I have 5 spring/summer items on advance order but with only one did I know about when I placed the order.  It's too chilly in my area to wear them now so I really don't care.

 

My items are supposed to ship 3/17.

Thanks!  I don't mind so much that it's on advance order, I just thought it was odd they rejected my question and would neither post it nor answer it, just said it didn't meet website quidelines.  Go figure!

Same thing happened to me with Logo & Jennie Garth. Emailed social team & they said they updated Ontario system which caused a delay in shipping. Placing it as advanced border keeps it in system to ship. She gave me an arrival date of over two weeks from now. 

 

Don't understand how updating a system could make something so late. Will this go on forever?

Hi @Tomboy --  The designation I am seeing in almost all my orders for new clothing (including my Logo order from Monday) is "backordered" not "advance."  They don't say it in the presentations.  I watched the Logo show and the videos for all the new clothing I have ordered, and they never say they are backordered.  

 

The new logo item I ordered on February 26 was sent out from the Ontario facility on March 11, is in transit to NYC, and has a projected delivery of March 17.  This is being delivered USPS, which is not that reliable.  

 

My logo orders from this past Monday March 10 were also backordered.  The orders online show estimated delivery dates, so you may want to check that.  The dates are not on the "Order Status" page, but on the Order page itself.  The Long Sleeve Scoop Neck Top has an estimated delivery date of March 26, and the Jacket with Fray Detail March 31.  So your pants are probably a date in this ballpark.

 

I am thinking these delays may be caused by the new tariffs.  They are paid at the point of entry, which I would guess is California, and maybe they are having to come up with unanticipated extra funds to pay for them.

 

I had a bunch of unbelievable delays of clearance items I bought in February and were sent from Pennsylvania, almost all UPS, so I don't think that has anyrhing to do with whatever is going on in Ontario.  I think QVC is conflating several issues to obfuscate customers.  Nice.

 

I did get an order for the new Isaac Mizrahi Live! Button Front Silk Blend Cardigans right away.  They are very nice.

 

QVC's answer to your question was rude, they should have just told you to check the order online.  I think what they want posted are questions about the items themselves.  They are trying to cut down on the fake or commentary, but that is no way to treat a paying customer like you.

@AZfem I am guessing qvc is updating the system for the new tariffs, which would be paid at the port of entry, which is likely California.  The tariffs change every day, so hard to keep up.

@Desertdi. It's been breezy here all day but the brunt is supposed to arrive about midnight with 50 mph winds.

 

Gosh, I wish we'd get the rain you did.

There is an Ontario CA.  A lot of other merchants I deal with ship from Ontario California so these backordered items may be from California and not Canada.....
