Anyone who has worked at the same place for 20+ years knows that the relationship is complex.  That kind of longevity suggests that QVC was very good to Lisa for a quite awhile.  It is not only ok --  it is actually a good idea to leave a place before becoming completely burned out.

I did the same thing and my new work is a breath of fresh air.

I guess there are as many theories here as there are posters.  My own feeling is that she had issues with another host, who was overcoming her in the spotlight because of earnings to the Q.  Suspicion that she may have been earning less than him, even though she was actually the true QVC queen. She might well have gone to the top level asking for a more appropriate income, and been turned down.   Just MHO.

This is hilarious .......   any time a Lisa thread posts, those that aren't fans can't wait to jump in and comment, saying let it go .... too bad they can't take their own advice.  lol

Lisa was only at the Q since 1995, so almost 20 years!  Who really knows except, Lisa, QVC and those close to the situation!

I know that she said in the next couple of weeks, on her website, she will be offering jewelry in 18 kt. Clad over sterling silver pieces.  Sort of the Veronese line here, I would think, but I do not know where it is being manufactured.

I do hope her jewelry is reasonable and not overpriced.  I hope her website is safe to use with alot of hacking going on nowadays and personal info and credit card info is safe.  She mentioned in her FB page a couple of weeks ago, she was having website problems, but didn't go into any detail....thus the concerns from her FB fans.  Also, I wonder if she will!offer returns and reviews of her items!

I wish Lisa much success!  I will, however, sit back and watch how all this goes once her items are up for sale.  Besides, I do not need any jewelry right now!

This is just my opinoin but I think Lisa got screwed by qvc and that is why she left.  She was doing and introduced the gilii line and then didn't get the whole thing.  I don't think she would ave left  after all these years had that not appened

@pennysmom

I agree.  And nevermind those posts that asks why post this, or  'poof' and yawn....   If this post is that 'yesterday', why did they open the original post ...   Or did they just want to make some idiotic comment....    I see that you're relatively new to the boards and I just want to extend a welcome.    I miss Lisa too, QVC is not the same without her...

I don't think her reason to leave was that complex, I think Joan River's death had an impact and she realized life is short, yes she was I "guess" making "good" money but she worked a lot of hours, did not have many holidays off, I'm sure her social life suffered and she just realized, I can do something else.  I don't think it was any problems.

How can you possibly have an opinion about this?  Whatever the reason is, it is a fact, not something to have an opinion about.

The conspiracy theory is alive and well.  I thought at the time the way it all went down was odd but I let it go about a year and a half ago.

I think Lisa believed the Q would go downhill without her, and she fully expected to be called back. Instead, the Q filled her place quickly and without trouble has moved on. It's something to think about when you believe your company, your position and yourself are irreplaceable. It's barely a blip....
