Liquid knit vs. slinky knit and others...

I have one piece of the liquid knot and like it but I was wondering about the slinky knit and other brands of this type of fabric. Which of these two do you like better? Any difference in construction of the garments and wear, etc.? I don't buy a lot of clothing online so would really like your feedback!

Re: Liquid knit vs. slinky knit and others...

Slinky knit (like Citiknits original fabric, Chico's Travelers) are not poly fabrics. They are various grades of rayon spandex. I don't care for the Slinky brand (what I tried was too thin), but do like Travelers and some of Citiknits. Weights varied with the Citiknits - some are substantial, some are flimsy. Chico's Travelers are probably the ones I like the best.

I prefer SG's butter knit over the liquid knit. I like liquid knit, but only for "some" tops. It's just not substantial enough for me for pants or skirts. Personal opinion only.

If I had to choose just one, I'd go for the rayon/spandex knits.

I'm fussy about fabrics ... I prefer SG's butter knit over the liquid knit.

ETA: For pants ... I like SG's lustra knit.

I love the Slinky pants. I checked the label some time back, and I think the fabric is the same as Chico's Travelers. Will check again if you want me to. At any rate, they feel and drape the same on me as the Travelers. And they are a whole lot cheaper! HTH

Both are rayon/spandex blend, but the Slinky I tried was much thinner fabric than Travelers.

After my first experience with Slinky, I'm not willing to try anything else. I'll stick with Travelers.

Slinky stretches out and looks bad after awhile. My Citiknits were heavier but didn't really hold up well either.

I have not had that happen with my SG Liquid knits. I have a couple of tops I wear pretty frequently and they still look good.

But I suppose they all wear out eventually. Smiley Happy

I have owned my black pair of Slinky pants for about 5 years and probably wear them 7 to 8 times a month. They look as good as they did when new. I have not tried SG's pants, but am interested in doing so. I also like George Simonton's crystal knit pants. They look, to me, just like wool crepe.

I like my black slinky knit pants. The label says they are rayon, acetate and spandex. I like how they drape on the body, are not hot to wear and wash & dry easily in the machine.

I have had mine about 5 years and they have not stretched out as yet.

I like the TS in Slinky Brand (never tried it before) in the zebra top/blk pants. I am so not an animal print lover in clothes- I love animal print accessories (?), but this set looks nice for summer. I like the style of the peasant top. I bought a SG peasant top in Liquid Knit last year, and wore it once a week!

I have to say that NOTHING looks appealing to me on the Q's new Spring fashions. NOT ONE THING! Even SG's things are not to my liking.

Is anyone else ordering the Slinky set?

Does Slinky run comparable to Susan Graver?

Isn't liquid knit hot like polyester?
