Liquid Knit Bottom Weight?

I see listings for various pants and pedal pushers made from liquid knit. I have a liquid knit tee, and I like it a lot, but it's very, very thin and light weight. Hard for me to imagine it used for pants. Seems like it would not be substantial enough. Anybody have experience and can enlighten me?
