For the record, I rarely if ever wear sweatshirts (I don't think I even have one at this point) - but I do see women in very casual settings (at the garden center, grocery shopping, etc.) who do wear them and look fine.

I think we can all "promote" and support Louis and the Linea line more effectively when we do not appear appear to be so defensive of everything that is written or said. Frankly, Linea quality and design speaks for itself. I'm looking forward to new Linea items this month and into spring.

HI Beccaboone2...I appreciate your opinion and certainly will not start an inappropriate debating contest with you (after all this is each of our personal opinions) but the reason I purposefully wrote as I did was in the context of my post. There was so much bashing of the Feather Jersey line and "nay sayers" who went on and on and on how they hated polyester that it totally killed the line. Louis even mentioned this. I don't like everything Louis presents to us and even some of the items I think I will love don't work for me but I do not come on this forum and bad mouth them and devalue the line. Some items are too long for our petites; some pants and jackets are too short for the tall ladies; that is good input; but I don't start bashing items before they have been shipped out and have not received for trying on. I never wear anything or wash anything and send back. I don't care if readers who are not Linea buyers are turned off. That is their problem; they are missing out on a fabulous designer. Each to his own. If I was turned off by other posters I wouldn't buy anything on QVC... There are a few posters who troll these forums and post snarky and devaluing comments and destroy the opportunity for those of us who like to try and buy different lines that Louis offers.

No, there is nothing wrong with sweat shirts, I have a few from my favorite football team. But this is not a sweat shirt. I am wondering why my post bothers you. I did not call out anyone; I did not disrespect anyone. You state your opinion, I state mine. I wonder why you are compelled to chastise me?

I have been wearing Louis's clothing since 1982 and have probably paid for several of his vacations and a car or two. I know my Linea; love my Linea and want this line to stay as long as Louis wants to put up with all the craziness that goes along with producing this line.
I am so looking forward to receiving my first piece and hope, if you ordered today, you are pleased with your tunic..

You may be right (and I hope you are)- perhaps it was just me reading Happy's post that way. I now live in a somewhat elitist-type community which makes me weary, and it could be I am just ultra sensitive to that (as I despise that attitude). If so, my sincere apologies to Happy. BTW, I always enjoy Happy's posts, too - we all have our love of Linea in common, and we all appreciate Louis very much. I think I am just so tired of seeing so many negative posts (not just Linea) on these boards - people get so seemingly angry and defensive at times. I know there has been tension between Linea ladies and some others on the board over the past years, which is really silly IMO. But the world has enough negativity in it - I enjoy the positive and kind interactions so much on these boards, and of course, the heads up when new and great things pop up!

As you wrote, all kinds of nastiness appear on these forums, but each time I swear that I'll go elsewhere to share, something online prompts a response from me. And there I go again! It is my weakness to want to share thoughts and talk -- especially about fashion and other "light" topics when I want to avoid heavier thoughts.

I can understand not liking thoughts and statements that are exclusive. My nature is to be inclusive, and I do not like pettiness in any transaction, but I am particularly sensitive to those who seek to exclude. To me, it is one of the ugliest urges among humankind.

Of course it happens all the time in life, and you just have to steel yourself, think lovely thoughts and move on.

I totally agree with this post, and also think that anyone who presumes to know what Louis would or would not do is just that, presumptuous. These types of posts are exactly why I seldom post on the Linea forums anymore. And I am sure no one cares, lol.

I like Linea. I like sweatshirts. If Louis were to lower himself to design a sweatshirt, I would most likely buy it. Unfortunately I did not care for this morning's tunic so will have to look elsewhere for my high-end leisure clothing (whatever that even means).

For me, this tunic will be my version of a sweatshirt. I never have worn them, tried to in college, simply hated them, and so there is a need in my life for this sort of top.

I loved it, but wanted the pink or the blue or the moss and they were sold out in my size when I discovered that Louis was on today. I think the cotton blend will be very comfy with a bit of stretch, just what I want, yet looked so pulled together and flattering.

Iris looked fabulous in it, they truly all did, Leah's navy tunic and jeans were great, and Jac? Well, she looked like she was born to wear these clothes.

Glad this was a successful launch, all those sell-outs, nice!

Well written post. I agree wholeheartedly. Nothing wrong with sweatshirts in the appropriate setting. I don't like bulky clothes, so I don't wear them, but I like the look on others. Many times the ultra Linea supporters come off as cliquish and a little snobby sounding. JMHO.
