While I do understand what you're saying as the "LOGO" influence is being seen in nearly every line here, I see plenty of new things such as his new jacket and skirt that are very classic, classy, Anne Klein-ish.
I'm pretty sure he'd love to offer more of the styles you're mentioning but here, unlike out in the marketplace, there's just not as much demand for structured clothing and these shoppers are exceptionally price sensitive. At regular retail a simple jacket of decent quality wool starts are 250 and goes up from there; decent pants are 100 and up. Add intricate seaming, embroidery, good button and the price zooms. I'd buy them and perhaps others would too but for the most part those clothes would sit in inventory. This channel's shoppers prefer wash and wear, one-size-fits-most clothing, very forgiving clothing for a very relaxed lifestyle.
I'm not here to defend LDO as I'm 100% certain he doesn't need my help, butI think it's unfair to "blame" the designer. They have no say over what QVC buys from the range of garments they present each season.

I found the fit was typical of better brand department store hose such as Donna Karan or even cheaper brands such as HUE. They look really tiny when you take them out of the package, but the magic of 16% or so spandex kicks in and they go on easy and fit like second skin. Soft, velvety and truly opaque. I ordered B (I'm 5'7"+, 140 lbs) which is what I would have bought at Nordstrom, and the fit is perfect.

gardens, I think you presented a well-reasoned and thoughtful explanation for what is going on. (This will be hurried because I've got to go to work.) About that work, many -- most -- of the women my age -- and with my fashion preferences -- are retired and have no need for some of the garments I am still in the market for. With Linea Ladies of long-standing, Louis has to find other fashions that suit their needs, while, at the same time, attracting the up-and-coming (younger) market.
As I wrote once before, it is a bloomin' miracle that Louis can satisfy most of us most of the time. What a gargantuan task he has before him every season. And he has to "grow" his line, even if we are turned off by some of the new choices. If he doesn't attract new customers, his older ones will weep when he is no longer relevant. Why? Because the older Linea Ladies alone cannot support this line.

G-D will strike me dead if I buy one more thing. I will buy Hunter Green tops to go with pants if offered. The tunic won't work for me; I have short arms. It's my best color and greens are very hard to find. I already bought three pair of wk pants and the fancy tights in the stone color.

I had previous ordered the WK tanks in the 3 new colors-- royal purple, nutmeg and petrol blue which I had on waitlist for months.
Yesterday I ordered the brick red short jacket
2 pairs of the opaque tights -- black, heather gray
the Petite whisper knit pants in all 3 colors
the ponte knit slim leg pants in black
Waiting for more items WK in hunter green or royal purple or charcoal gray to order as the season gets closer to fall.

LDO is still doing the classy and classic look. This collection is his transitional one. There is the new woven short jacket and long skirt today. Plus, he has items coming later this month and in September that are decidedly LDO classic:
A pinstripe Jacket and trouser (petite and regular), wing collar blouse, a quilted jacket, a lace-print jacket with seaming detail (sounds very LDO), and more in the classic vein. I'm really excited about the upcoming swing coat (very classic) and the faux fur reversible coat that is planned.

I ordered the:
Slim leg ponte pants (black and chocolate)
WK open front cardigan (nutmeg)
That's it unless I talk myself into the saddle leather jacket. Of course, my resolution stands on this and other pieces right now because I haven't watched the show. Post-show might be another story entirely, LOL.

Lace knit top - black
animal print zip jacket and skirt in black/tan
open front cardigan in black and petrol blue and later I caved and ordered tank/cardi in nutmeg purple
petrol blue tank
Leather jacket in black/L.
