What is the deal with lemons on everything?

Adding an acid does make a dish more flavorful but I prefer vinegar.

There are so many varieties, all you need is a little dash, what a difference

Lemon prints are definitely a big trend this season. It's not something I would wear, but they do make me smile when I see them. Just a happy fun print for warm weather. I think after everything we've been through the past year people might be looking for some fun & whimsy.

With everything that's been going on for all of us, maybe it's an inspirational reminder that, 'When life hands you lemons....make lemonade!'.

I agree with you though, lemons on handbags, clothing, etc. is in overdrive.

In regard to clothing , I see it as an ode to Italian Amalfi Coast where they claim to  grow " true lemons ". Lemons are also grown in Sicily  .

As far as lemons in recipes , I love a bit of lemon to freshen up a dish.

We go through them by the bags.  We put lemon on a lot of things--in dressings, in soups, on tuna or other fish, lemon juice and slices in roast chickens, in tea, on pasta, and on and on.

We have lemon table cloth and hard mats and napkins also.

People associate lemons with summer goodies like lemonade, lemon pie, lemon cookies.  Seems like there have always been lemons on summer clothing and accessories.  They are frequently seen on tableware and linens too.

I like lemon prints. To me it denotes summer, warmth, sunshine. It's no different than pineapples, apples, watermelon, or cherry prints....or flowers. A splash of summer color.
