Re: Lack Luster Fall Fashion Day

I'm saving some money today but I did order a pair of the TSV jeans.  They look nice on everyone and I'm hoping for a good fit.

I've watched off and on this weekend. I went online before the event started and looked at new items. Some were already up, but a few didn't get posted to the website until the last day or so.

I found a few things I liked which was a nice surprise for me. I haven't bought much clothing from QVC the past few years. I also got a couple great deals on clearance items recently too. Looking forward to getting my purchases.

Re: Lack Luster Fall Fashion Day

There's nothing that takes the momentum out of a fashion weekend like sticking David and his kitchen right in the middle of it.  Maybe they thought he'd forget his colors if he skipped a week.

QVCs formula for big fashion events has always been to have a handful of products and regurgitate  them throughout the day until the viewers are sick of seeing them.

It seems as though they've had fewer new items than usual.  They seemed to have run out of products at the end of Kim's show, encouraging viewers to call just to chat with her.  I wonder if they're having cash flow problems?

I agree with you.   Just look at the TSV's for fashion days.  A lounge set  and a pair of jeans.   Nothing new or different from what they sell everyday.

@Travone.  What about the leather jacket from Friday?  Chopped liver?  Are you unaware this is a three day event?

Re: Lack Luster Fall Fashion Day

Qvc stuff is too expensive..just overpriced and thin..and I've been reading reviews saying that they've shrunk when washed. Receiving used clothing when u pay for new clothing and shedding..I still remember a necklace that I got clearly made for a newborn all knotted up..I just look sometimes for entertainment purposes..if I want a carpenter shirt ..I will go out in retail to get it ..that way it's brand new and I can try it on ..some people have been grossed out by receiving used items from qvc that smell like armpits .gross. I wonder if the hosts know this is happening or do they even care.

I know they aren't bringing in the quantities we use to see. That is why everything sells out so fast. I think the prices have been a deterrent for many . Also, if an item doesn't work you have to pay shipping for your return and loose the original shipping costs. It becomes very expensive to just try on an item.

Also, people that use easy pay have noticed a decrease in the number from 5 to 3. So, I think there are many reasons for sales declining. The products offered are usually from the same vendors over and over. Information on products is always lacking. I think the thrill is gone.

Re: Lack Luster Fall Fashion Day

Actually, I've seen quite a few things I've liked!

I was upset I missed the Dennis Basso wide leg pants which must have sold in a NY minute! I have been wanting a pair of black jeans so ordered a Denim & Company pair (I've only purchased one or two things from them previously).

I'm a huge Kim Gravel fan and have "saved" several items which I may break down and purchase by day's end.

As usual, I've bought too much so far.  The SG tweed blazer in black, the KG faux suede shirt in the wine color, the olive TSV and an Isaac denim shirt.

The hosts seem pushier than usual, very hard sell.
Even Gary with denim and Company was doing the hard sell, that was unusual.

three days was horrible--nothing really caught my fancy--and so freaking tired of the jogger pj's sets----fashion is not my thing anymore, I guess
