Re: LOGO SHOW 11/9

[ Edited ]

Can anyone tell me why there is a green check mark next to this thread?  When I clicked on the thread, after the first comment, there is a green box that says "solved" go to best answer" .  Is there anywhere on the site that explains things like this or what hearts are?

Thanks.

@SewHappy2  The thread starter (me in this case) has the option of picking a "best answer."  I think the board assumes you are asking a question for help, which of course we aren't always.  I thought islangirrl raised some great points so I chose her response because I thought she made great points.  She didn't really "answer" anything because I didn't ask a question as the thread starter.

Now funny you ask this.  Because earlier today on my LOGO 11/2 thread, I goofed and gave myself a "best response" not at all intending to.  I wanted to quote a post of mine from last week, about what I ordered, because I tried the things on today and wanted to "review" them (see my post from today on the LOGO 11/2 SHOW thread).   But I hit the wrong button by mistake. I accidently hit "best answer" instead of "reply" (to reply and quote my own post).  So I goofed and gave my own post which I was trying to reply to and quote, a "best answer".   Oops!  And I never even knew a person even had the ability to give him or herself a best answer.

Anyway, the post with the best answer also has a green check mark next to it - a small one - as well as the larger one next to the thread.

Pearley,  thanks so much!  That explains a lot.  I find the changes too confusing to me, wish they had phased some of it in.  But then, I don't even do fb, so I guess I am way behind things.

Recieved my plaid coat today.  This has to be the fastest I ever recieved any item.  I ordered my regular size xxs and it fits fine except the sleeves are very long, and I'm not sure how I feel about the drop shoulder.  I think if only they had an xxxs it may be a better fit, but with a sweater underneath it will be fine.  I do like the weight of this piece.  It's a nice change for me because I am really not a plaid gal.  Hope you gals like yours when you recieve it.

YAY - thanks so much for your review @Biftu.   I could tell the sleeves were going to be long, and even mentioned that above in one of my posts, saying I'd probably have to get the sleeves shortened (no matter which size I keep!).  I'm sure islandgirrl will be relieved to read your post.  I never trust that darn measurement chart!   My shipments have been really slow from Q so I'm not expecting mine tomorrow.

BY the way, I saw an adorable Cuddl Duds scarf today at Kohl's (on sale) that should be really cute with the coat!  It's not made from the usual CD fleece but it's a loosely woven knit and it's black with a lot of nubs of gray thread in it.  It's an infinity scarf and was doubled up as it hung. Very cute - I thought of the coat immediately. It has more visual interest and is a lot funkier than the French terry LOGO scarf Lori put with the coat, and I think that loose weave knit goes better with the coat material-wise than French terry does.

I found it on the Kohl's website just now but the photo - which you need to enlarge to see the "nubs" - doesn't do it justice. It's the Cuddl Duds Inifinity scarf (those are the keywords I used to find it) and then click on the black multi and also the gray multi for another choice.  Again, the photo doesn't do it justice.   The scarf is on sale (and I'd get another 30$ off with my coupon I got in the mail).  Of course I need to wait to see the coat when it comes...

For anyone interested, I posted some reviews on my LOGO SHOW 11/2 thread of things I tried on today.

Wow @Biftu that was crazy fast! My coat hasn't even shipped yet so I will have to wait in suspense for another week.

I was happy to hear that you felt you might have gotten a better fit if you could have gone down one size. That is how I ordered.

Were you unhappy with the drop shoulder because the coat felt too large generally or are you just not a fan of that style?

Ooops @islandgrrl - I already forgot that and remembered the opposite of how you ordered. I just edited my post above to make it right.  I am glad you were happy with Biftu's review!

I checked my order status and mine just shipped today (both).

I really liked the plaid coat until I saw that the plaids did not match up on the front on all of them but one, and that is something that I don't think looks good, nor is acceptable in a large plaid print. The design was very nice if you can find the correct size.

@Biftu  Thank you for reviewing the coat...Wow, that was fast delivery.  It seems that you don't love it.  Are you planning to keep it?

It's a great coat, though the sleeves are long.  Bought my size small and I like the dropped shoulders.  It's comfortably ample on top, and narrows towards the hips.  There is a broad white spot on the lapel on mine, which would have been more attractive if it were darker.  Up to chance!

Luck be a lady tonight!
