We ordered two tops during the all LOGO show.  Yesterday the 20th, we received a letter dated the 12th of November, telling us that there was no stock in either of the tops.  WHAT??? We were not on waitlist, and the order appeared to go through.  So was this some weird scam to see how many customers would buy LOGO???  Oh well.

It was an all clearance show, when I did the spell check, it erased the word clearance.  Sorry.

Why didn't you post in the Customer Care forum?  The Mods there "may" be able to help.

On November 8, I ordered two LOGO clearance items.  On the 9th, the status was "Back Ordered."

On the 9th I cancelled the order.  I don't do back order or waitlist.

I’ve had similar experiences with clearance items from SG and Chadwick’s. My order went through, but then I was notified the item and size was out of stock or back ordered. Sometimes I think orders are filled faster than the computer inventory realizes. You would think they could find a way to make sure what you order is actually in stock.  It can be disappointing not to get your order fulfilled, but that can happen when limited quantities are available.

I wouldn’t necessarily blame it on it being a clearance item, although I can see why it happens most with those items.

Plenty of instances where someone buys a NEW item before it is even presented and the item sells out immediately once it airs. The person who buys early (me! And others) are the ones at the end of the line. I think they expect cancellations and oversell.

I don't think there is any "scam" element to it.

Then if it wasn't  a scam, it is very poor business sense.  I don't take orders for woven runners or overlay bags  I create if I cannot do what the customer wants or if I don't like what he/she requests.  So what do you think now.  I still think it reaks of a scam to attract potential customers.  But how many  new customers will return after treated like this???
