Knowing how to wear clothes thread

Some of the new posters on the "QVC, I do know how to wear clothes, thank you very much" are missing the point thoroughly and completely.

I urge you to read the ORIGINAL post and stop guessing at what you think the thread is about.

Thank you very much.

Don't think that will impact too many people, although it might be interesting or who knows ... less interesting,  if reading the original post were made mandatory. Don't take replies that imply that people are talking about whatever they want, instead of sticking strictly to the opening post, as an indication that you are being slighted in any way. That's just the way this place rolls, and I think it does in real life too. Behavior is somewhat unpredictable.

Hi homegirl...

You could go into your original topic post and change the title.  Maybe to read:  "Unsolicited email (telling me how to dress eyeroll)."  LOL.  Or something like that...I saw that you requested the thread be deleted, but that could take a while, if at all.  So, again, go back to that thread, reply to your OP (I think) and edit the title...I'm about 95% sure it will change it for the whole thread, etc. etc. etc.  HTH.  Have a great day, homegirl!

Re: Knowing how to wear clothes thread

I appreciate both of your suggestions, I really do.  And yes, I could have opted to do that.

But frankly, I don't think we have to cater to people who don't choose to understand or who want everything spelled out for them.

If poetic license isn't allowed much less appreciated, then what's the point?  I did notice that quite a few understood, and understood very clearly, and even had fun with it.   So no, I am not going to cater to those who don't.

And I do realize this is the nature of these boards, maybe boards in general.

You know, I am not an argumentative/confrontational person at all. I try to be polite and helpful on this board. I simply replied to what I thought was the main idea of your post, then saw that you asked folks to go back and read the original post because some had missed the point. Which I did. And it still wasn't clear exactly what the problem was (them telling you things you already knew? unsolicited emails? something else?) That is why I added an edit to my response. What you have written above (and on the other thread) is insulting and implies that people are purposely choosing to argue with you or are too stupid to understand without you spelling everything out. So, I guess that's me and several others. I'm sorry I even got involved in this "conversation," I apologize for anything that may have in any way insulted or upset you, and I hope you have a pleasant evening.
