Re: Kim Kardashian West and "Kimono"

Maybe when Kim passes the bar and gets her law license, she can take on all her "haters."  LOL

It’s not ‘going to’ have it trademarked.

It IS trademarked.

This is so silly.

People have been using the word ‘KIMONO’ for decades.

In fact, the trailer for KUWTK 2017 season had a song

called ‘KIMONO’.  Why was this cultured, revered word

not challenge then?  Or any other zillion times the words was used?

This family unit could call something AIR and

people would get their panties in a bunch.

Seems short-sighted to complain about something so trivial...

only because of the last name of the person who trademarked it.

Almost seems like harassment.

Hope Kim takes legal action.

so I could go to the dictionary and pull up a word like "table" we all know what it is and get that trademarked and then anyone who sold a "table" and called it that would have to pay me for the use of my trademakred name?

As for harassment and takinbg legal action, against whom? Twitter users? Yeah, let's just use the legal system for something this stupid and trivial. What would she sue for? Money? Put haters in jail? You make no sense at all.

You bring up a good point.

In fact a point...which supports the reason why Kim shouldn’t

have changed positions....but she DID change, so everyone should

be pleased with her decision.  She did an honorable thing.

Everyone’s happy🌼

@beach-mom

Either it’s all or nothing. Can’t pick/choose.

Have a feeling if said restaurant was owned by Kim Kardashian,

people would uproar over that.   The proof is...she bowed down to

those opposing....and she’s still getting grilled.

The sky will never be blue enough for the haters.

Wow, you really like the Kardashians. lol

I don't hate them as much as everyone else, but I totally see why she was called out for trying to trademark Kimono. It's tacky, selfish, and tone deaf. She is old enough and worldly enough to know better. She has access to lots of experts who she could've consulted on this. People are sick of them wh***** everything out for money, and I don't mean that in the sexual sense.

Yes, I do like the Kardashians...and Jenners.

They’re successful & haven’t done anything wrong. Win-win.

Though...I would have the same opinion about any one or

who is wildly successful given the amount of Public backlash

they’ve rec’d for at least a decade. They definitely have Tenacity.

And to say ‘I don’t hate them as much as everyone else’

followed by ’sick of them wh***** everything out....’

Wow. Ugly statement.

It’s that type of negativity which serves no one, especially the

one who says it.  But yet, the majority of that family continues

to be positive, spiritual & uplifting.

Like I mentioned upthread, she reversed positions w/ the name.

That’s a good thing, right?  Very honorable.

So many other things in Life to direct one’s anger.

Just remove the last name...you’ll see the good many recognize.

Or...just look at pictures of those cute kids. That’ll make anyone smile.

@sidsmom

i dont get all the over the top hatred and animosity towards this family. they are a close knit family who are involved in a lot of different business ventures. not so sure what we are supposed to be "hating?" it may not be our  own ambitions or lifestyles, but it works for them. i honestly like how they support each other through thick and thin. they are a tight family. not everyone has that support system.

glad to see she listened to her audience and is going to go in a different direction with this.

by the way, there is a KIMONOS restaurant in disney.....i wonder why there was no uproar about that? probably because it is DISNEY.

Well we have to agree that she did a good thing by

changing the name, yes?  #Integrity

The Kimonos restaurant in Disney is a Japanese restaurant.  Kim's shapewear is not Japanese in any way.

I already stated upthread that I was glad she changed it.

Re: Kim Kardashian West and "Kimono"

@sunshine45 you will find I detest reality shows exploiting families and children across the board. They are all gross. I at least thought the Kardashians were the less creepy, more "woke" extreme of the Duggars, but I was wrong. They are just as bad. They are all bad. Any time I find myself stopping on these shows out of morbid curiosity, I feel dumber for doing so and immediately change the channel.
