@LTT1   I just remembered (because I am wearing today) that I have Anybody jogger pants that are surprisingly nice for this line, and maybe you would like.  They are on clearance, so limited sizes, but I bought a bunch when they had my size.  

They are woven, so no stretch but elastic back, fabric not heavy but not lightweight.  For me it's an all season fabric because I wear long coats.  The fabric is good quality.  I have a lot of problems with pilling, but these pants have not pilled, and I wear them a lot.  They can be dressed up or down, but on the casual side because of the elastic at the ankle (back only).  

They have a little volume like the current trend, but not too much.  A619755 (inseam 25.5") is the number for petite, but they also come in regular A619754 (inseam 28.5"), priced at what I paid, but more choice in sizes and color:

I won't be wearing any wide leg jeans, but lighter weight material might work because the drape keeps the volume in check.  I have some lighter weight wide leg pants that I like that are no longer in stock, but I find Women With Control always does right by me.  WWC have a forgiving fit.  I found a new wide leg style pant you may like, not jeans, A648386 (regular 29" inseam) and A648387 (petite 26" inseam).  In black + 3 colors:
