Re: Kim Gravel Clothing

[ Edited ]

I have many of Kim's pieces. I have a jean jacket that I purchased when she first started and it remains one of my favorites. I have many of Kim's blouses, I favor the polyester ones which wash beautifully and look great.

I also purchased several jackets (with zippered pockets) and sweaters. I have kept everything I've purchased.

I usually try and wait for pieces (of Kim's and others) to see if they go on clearance. I've missed out on a few things but gotten some great bargains.

I agree that you should try a piece and see how you feel. Good luck!

I purchased some Flexibelle tsv capris several years ago. Initially I loved these until i wore them and they stretched so much they literally slid off. OK, so I sized down 2 sizes but what's worse for me was the fabric weave was I guess, defective. I noticed bare spots throughout that I could almost see through. No Bueno. That was a real turn off and haven't been interested in trying anything else in her clothing line since. I have purchased several of her cosmetic items and have been very pleased with those purchases.

I've purchased two of her tops.  One of them I absolutely love and have received tons of compliments on it the two times I've worn it.  However, the first time I washed it, it got snags all over the fabric.  I went ahead and wore it again but it's probably going in the trash. Most of the reviews mentioned this but, unfortunately, I didn't read them before ordering.  The second top was just a castual tunic.  It's extremely thin and it's been washed several times but appears to be fading.  I probably won't order anything else from this line.

I have one top and 2 jeans from her brand and they are very well made.

@Roni18 - I too have several of her tops and I agree with your comment.

Have you seen the new Marla fashions? I watched a portion of her weekend shows and added some new to my wishlist.

@Chi-town girl  I only caught a few minutes of Marla's Saturday show.  I will have to go check out her new items.  I did receive all of the dresses I ordered this week and love them, 2 more of those everything dresses and 2 of the tank style.

Regarding Kim's lines and all the comments here.  I think hers is just like any other line around here or on HSN, different items you order may differ in quality.  I don't expect to love everything I order.  But for the record, I've been happy with my Kim items so far.

@Roni18 - there are definite price increases for Marla's new items. The new Flatter Fit pants are now $70. I love her new knit fabrics and the new faux leather hoodie. Free shipping should be a norm for her line given the higher boutique pricing. No purchases this weekend for me at HSN, but I did take advantage of free shipping at Q

She has so many bad reviews on her items. Her presentations are so fast and furious. They must not have a lot of each item. I remember buying a few tops when she was new to QVC and the smalls were huge on me even though that was my size in Isaac and D&C. I don’t like that thin cotton she loves to use. I no longer watch her shows.
