Most hosts come from a TV broadcasting background; Katrina is the first to come from the fashion industry.  Whether that will be good for QVC remains to be seen.  Q customers are not high fashion mavens; they are mainstream career women, housewives and retirees.  Katrina might be too high powered and might not relate well to the customer base....again too soon to say. 

It's way too premature to declare her the "best host in years" when she hasn't yet sold didly squat.  The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Jayne Brown also came from the fashion industry.

The Q needs to bring some fashion back.  They get rid of George Simonton for who Laurie Felt, Kim Gravel?  Please.

IMO Katrina is an excellent host, professional, impeccably dressed, well versed, articulate and most importantly no sillyness. I believe that their are many fashionable women on the Q that will welcome her input, style tips and a higher line of clothing.  How many references in post are about shopping in Talbots, Nordstrom etc: The Q audience is varied not limited to a segment of the population although with some of the lines they carry sometimes I wonder.  We have fashionista's on these boards IMO and I enjoy  their posts.  

@JONNYSBRO Please tone down your enthusiasm, we really don't want another Lisa thread, just Katrina as herself..

I have to admit i am not a fan.  It seems the Q is certainly pushing Katrina, Courtney K. (on both channels CONSTANTLY), and the newer red hair woman (sorry i don't know her name,  along with the two they have been having weekdays continually Kirsten & Jennifer.....Thank goodness there is QVC2 .......where the hosts are classy,

informative, about the product, etc.   Katie M., Jayne B.,

Gabrielle K., Antonella (often these days), Nancy, etc.
