Katrina Kaif wore Valentino to the Women In Cinema Gala.

@Iwantcoffee - I'll just come out and say it. I don't think that outfit is appropriate for a "Women in Cinema" Gala, of all things, as her clothing choice is only 1/2 "womanly".

Quite the confusing message, to be sure.

I think the definition of womanly is subjective. If you've bought into the MANmade notion that women should only look a certain way, I can see how a woman wearing a tie could be considered inappropriate. If you believe women don't need manmade rules for their appearance, the fashion choice made by this woman is lovely.

Women in Cinama have played many roles as we do in life.  Her choice demonstrates that flexability and she looks lovely.

Funny thing!  I just saw a woman in the airport that had on a grey slacks, white button up shirt and grey vest with a black tie.  I thought she looked super chic and the lady sitting next to me said....wow she looks sharp!  I own a few ties and plan on brining them back out. She also had a super sharp handbag.  I need to know more about that!!  Love a good handbag!!

I like the look Katrina!

The skirt is beautiful. The blouse is an interesting choice but it works...

I don't know who she is, but while I like the shirt and tie, I don't care for it with the skirt.  Back in the 70's and early 80's when everyone, including women were wearing 3 piece pant suits, I wore ties all the time.  I would grab a few Brooks Brothers sharp shirts and wear the tie loose with the top button open.  Paired it always with either a platform or high heeled sexy pump. Yeah, I looked good but boy try running for a bus in the rain 🥹😫.  I don't dress like that for work anymore unless big bosses come in for a meeting.  Then I grab the pencil skirt and blouse and my go to black 3 inch pumps. Love those shoes.
