Does this mean I have to return the olive green sweater I ordered yesterday?  I'm a green-eyed blonde.  Woman Sad

@VancouverUSAgal I realize you are ranting merely because you don't personally like that color.  We all get it.  But you're acting like a petulant child and perhaps you don't realize that Autumn colors are the season coming up and the golds, the burnt oranges, and yes, the olive greens are IN and fashion colors for the season.

Most of us don't throw little temper tantrums as you have because the colors shown are not our color season.  You wait until your season rolls around and then purchase as you see fit the color that you most prefer.  The Autumn season happens to be MY color season and love the olive greens as do many others.

Femininity and sophistication are not determined by a color.  It is like bashing chocolate ice cream over vanilla...just a personal opinion and each of us will have preferences. We also have a propensity to look better in some colors rather than others. This is definitely a first world problem that most of us wouldn't give a nano second of reflection.  I wonder why there is such a vociferous reaction....that would be my concern if I had such a strong opinion regarding a color.

There are different shades of olive, some more brown and some a more true green... I'm not fond of 'drabs' just as I'm not fond of 'camo', but otherwise love olive... Anyone with such strong feelings about it needs to avoid it, but for others of us, it works nicely and is a good fall color. Glad to see it as an option..

@stevieb   Many years ago, one of the most elegant ladies I ever knew, came to a fund-raising event with an olive jumper (what some call a popover dress; not jumper in the British sense) and a sky blue silk blouse underneath wihch had a sweet little gathered neck line (with her beautiful swan neck) and pearls, a white alligator bag and shoes to match (which are almost pearl in color).  I have never been able to nor seen anyone duplicate the look with the same look she had, but I wish I could.  This summer person has loved olive ever sense.

@Nonametoday  Sounds like a lovely look... Some women just really know how to pull it all together...

I'm brown hair and brown eyes with a very slight hint of green.  I like the olive green color and have a few pieces including shoes.   I like it.  I like most colors, but those I don't like I just don't  buy even if they are "trending or "color of the year."

I thought the olive tones were hitting the market because of the metallic revival. The late 1980's had all those metallics & olive  tones.  I can wear a little olive if I pair it with gold  or copper tones.

@VancouverUSAgal  It's ugly to you but may be beautiful to someone else.  There are so many shades of olive green.  I happen to like it but it has to be the right olive green.  Too yellow is a no.  However, I would not own a large selection of olive green in my wardrobe -- a couple of pieces is enough.

Olive green is one of my favorite shades for clothes and it looks amazing on darker skin ladies like myself. It may be drab to some of you but for me it's a must. I've heard it called nature's neutral and I agree.

I like olive. With my auburn hair, I find it very flattering on me.

I hate purple. But, then again, I don’t feel the need to announce it.

Hah. I really dislike purple, too.

Olive no longer looks very good on me, but, it's the only color that doesn't do much for me that I still wear because I love it.

There's a reason it's a favorite as a background color in portraits.  It recedes and pushes the hair, eyes and skin forward. In real life, it does the same for the wearer. That's why it's flattering on many.  Drab colors can do that as long as they're not at odds with your skin temperature. I disagree that it flatters no-one.   As a matter of fact, I find that black flatters a lot less people than they think. It's not necessary to wear intense colors all the time.

Disregarding who she is and the "cut" of her clothes 😃, Kim Kardashian looks fantastic in olive.
