This magazine I once enjoyed has turned into a tabloid and no longer cares about fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.

Me too. Add to the list: Allure, vogue, harper's bazaar and Elle which have become political

If this is regarding a White House project that started construction in October 2019 - with private funds.
Melania advises people to 'take time and do something good and productive in their own communities'.
I was contacted by two publications as to WHY I canceled my subscription and I told them they had become too political. I do not know when they will ever make a change back to just being what I originally subscribed to.
There is no 'spoiler' ... don't know how I managed THAT.

I loved to sit down and pour over the pages of Bazaar. I just cancelled that subscription several weeks back. Same reason.

I feel like everything has gotten political lately.
Even my pet adoption newsletters/magazines have done so. I won't be renewing any of my subscriptions to anything.

Real Simple has done the same and even one of the Quilting Magazines I subscribe to! This is annoying, there is no escape.

For years, magazines have simply been conveyances for advertising. I haven't subscribed for a long time..

Glamour too. I started getting that magazine in high school and through my young married years. For some reason once I became a mom I thought I was "too old" to get it - go figure! I always enjoyed it. But it too has become a tabloid that has strayed from the magazine it was when I used to read it cover to cover.
IDK about Allure. I was a charter subscriber, but cancelled my subscription when they got rid of Linda Wells.
So far the cooking magazines and regional magazines are safe!

How is Martha Stewart Living doing ... I always thought the photograhy
was fabulous .....has that become political too ...
Agree with everyone about the others .....

I didn't know any of this with magazines. The only place I have ever looked at them in the past ten years or so is in the Doctor's office. It was super annoying then because it was all advertising. Is that still there besides political stuff? Are they political articles? Which politics? Both?
