@ECBGThat's a style that on me even when I was 20 made me look like as if I were wearing my grandma's house dress.  I think that's proof that it's really not the dress, the shoe, the bag, whatever that creates a particular image -  from my perspective it's more what works on particular bodies.

This dress definitely reminds me of dresses worn in the forties .  I do like it , very summery and light.  It isn't for my shape but I do think it pretty.  As far as the shoes are concerned I wouldn't choose them to wear with this dress.

It's a lovely feminine dress, I also love the sandals with it, more in keeping with wearing it during the day, and dress sandals (heels?) for the evening or date night.

I  wore many dresses like this during the seventies, they were in style and considered very much in trend.

I was in my twenties then and I will say men loved the dress and the heels I wore with it.

At that time men loved women to be very feminine and this type of dress fit the bill.

If could find it with a longer sleeve I would wear it today.
