Joans jackets, questioning TSV

I agree with what the ladies are saying about the sleeves and length. The sleeves really seem to hit the models at an odd length. How do Joans jackets normally run according to other products bought at QVC? I noticed this one is in numeric sizes. A M has a chest of 42 and the L a little bigger. I am wondering if I order this, which size to order. They do look short.
