Re: Joan is gone but please keep her jewelry and clothing line alive and growing

I only hope and pray that the Joan Rivers entire line of clothes and jewelry will continue for a very long time. I can't believe I'll never get to speak to her or see her ever again. I can't bear to loose the entire Joan Rivers line at the same time as we all lost her. I think she had her group of people who already have her fall line and maybe even her Spring 2015 line in production already so since she is/was such a huge seller on QVC why not have someone fill in for her and keep everything going. I know I'm not done buying the best fitting clothes ever and my 3rd jewelry box is waiting for more items to fill it up. I'm still crying over her death and I don't think that will stop for a while. There is a huge hole in my heart, I can't even imagine how everyone else in her family and tight group of friends are feeling. I think someone need's to make a happy face Bee pin in honor of Joan. She was one classy lady.

I understand how you feel. Gads, she had a sharp wit.

Aren't we fortunate we have all the film of her to enjoy, once the pain lessens? I smiled through tears watching the QVC tribute piece on Joan and reading and watching other only Joan can do moments.

I was also thinking about how much more difficult, in some ways, it will be to replace Joan on Fashion Police. Maybe there are funny people in fashion who could step in for Joan on Q?

I wonder if Guiliana Rancic or Kelly Osbourne (from Fashion Police) who are in the fashion scene and knew her well, could help in the transition along side David?

Just thinking...

Kelly Osborne presenting Joan's line! OMG! Please No!

Kelly's bringing her own clothing line to hsn soon.

Sorry to say but I can't see how Fashion Police could continue without Joan. I think Guliana and Kelly could continue the E! Fashion thing but in a different way I was a Joan Ranger and I can't even turn E! On anymore her loss is so deep and her passing has me beyond sad and I never even knew her. Joan was beyond special and her being gone is felt.

I think once a season QVC could do a Joan Rivers Memories collection line and sell bee jewelry in her memory but to continue selling things and just stamping her name on it IMO would be tacky and money driven without the personality.

Yes, Kathy Levine would be fantastic. But, if they can't or aren't able to hire her, Lisa Robertson, co-presenting with David Dangle, would be a wonderful choice.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Did not read all the replies, but did anyone suggest Kathy Levine presenting some of her line? Just a long shot I suppose.

Re: Joan is gone but please keep her jewelry and clothing line alive and growing

There have been many interesting suggestions posted, including Kathy Levine returning, and after the inventory that's already been made has been sold, the line could be renamed Joan Rivers by David or Melissa. Maybe a memorial piece of jewelry offered.

It will be an adjustment seeing her line presented without her. I think how we feel now, while still mourning her loss, will be different after some time has passed. I loved Joan Rivers and I also loved the products in her line. I could adjust to not having her products sold with humor, because there was only one Joan. My guess is David was very involved in the design and production of the line, as CEO of Joan Rivers Worldwide, and he certainly discussed the products with in-depth knowledge on air.

I noticed many people mentioned they purchased something while she was in the hospital, including myself. I also wore her clothing and Bee pins as my homage to her.

I'm hoping to move forward and accept and respect change and growth, as Joan did in her career--celebrating life. But, that doesn't mean I will not miss Joan Rivers. I do and I will.

Yes it does come down to money but let's face it Joan made that happen not qvc. Quaker may still be going but from what I read from people it's not the same. I never bought Quaker but I would watch to see Jeanne but I don't watch Angel

The thing that set Joan apart was that SHE owned her own line - not QVC. She was the master of it's fate...not like Paula Deen, for example - who just was the salesperson for other manufacturers items.

I hope they don't sell her business to QVC. It needs to remain independent.

I imagine Melissa would have control over Joan's line ultimately.

I think Joan Rivers would be very proud to have her line stay on QVC. JMH. Rest in peace Joan you will be sorely missed.

Re: Joan is gone but please keep her jewelry and clothing line alive and growing

I have mixed feeling on this, a part of me feels the main reason for purchasing was she wore these items and the reason was when she was on air, like some, I never watched when she wasn't on...so a part of me feels that with her line of jewelry should be now collector pieces, they will mean so much more..I can't see buying without her..As for clothing line, she loved her jackets and so many others do as well, maybe this is something her daughter would want to cont. but I just feel it won't be the same..guess time will tell..Melissa and her mom no doubt talked about what she wanted and how to cont. when her time comes..I hope when it does that she might address her mom's QVC customers/fans.
